Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is celebrating its 100-year anniversary on January 15, 2008. It is a testament to the power, vision and commitment of our Founders that Alpha Kappa Alpha has endured and prospered through ten decades. At its core, service is the bedrock of our Sorority. It was true in 1908; it is true today.

Inspired by the vision, Celebrating Our Past, Serving Our Community, Honoring Our Sisterhood, our members will honor this anniversary, celebrate our achievements and resolve to build on the legacy of our Founders by strengthening our commitment to service.

This Centennial Web site will provide an overview of our history and chronicle our 100-year journey while glorifying our achievements. Through the interactive dimensions of this site, you will hear from our leaders and view a panoramic presentation that reflects the dynamism of this great Sorority. You will also get a glimpse into the myriad commemorative festivities we are hosting as we build to our Centennial birthday.

I’m proud to lead this hallowed organization as it commemorates its anniversary. I’m also humbled in knowing that the strides we make today will strengthen Alpha Kappa Alpha in our second century of service and excellence.
