Geography at Creation
In 1924, the Southern Region included all chapters in the Southeast. Realignment in 1932 split the Region into two: South Eastern Region—Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee—and South Atlantic Region—North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia. In 1953, South Atlantic was realigned to include the 3 states it is comprised of today.
